The Seychelles trip is a three-island one for most people — a few nights on Mahé, a ferry to Praslin, a day or two on La Digue with a bicycle — and the phone earns its keep between islands rather than on the beach. Ferry timetables shift with the weather, restaurant bookings on Praslin are worth making the same morning, and the drive over Mahé's mountain spine to Beau Vallon is easier with live navigation. Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) sits just outside Victoria and the local SIM counters register you against your passport. A travel eSIM installed before you fly means you land, switch the data line, and get on with the transfer.

A week to ten days is the usual length, and the data load is light: photographs, WhatsApp, maps, a few bookings. Resist buying the largest plan on the page unless you intend to stream or work. Hotspot is worth checking on the plan card, because many guesthouses run one modest connection shared by every room and the evenings are when everyone uses it.
